Samantha Brick – Sorry, but who are you?

At the beginning of the week a certain article came to my attention via the Daily Mail, and obviously I am not the only person who has seen it.
Samantha Brick decided to tell the world that ‘Woman hate me because I’m beautiful’ and proceeded to pepper her additional articles with plain looking massively staged photographs of herself and one of her and her combat clad, gun wielding husband. Complete madness I tell you.
Brick continues to arrogantly explain how it is hard for someone as pretty as her, and how displays of affection, like free bottles of champagne and flowers from random unknown gentlemen do not come as a surprise. Well it definitely comes as a surprise to me sweetheart.
At first I thought this article may have been the Daily Mails sordid idea of an April Fool prank, however it had passed the designated day of random tom-foolery, so I then decided it was a social experiment provided to provoke reaction or spark debate. But no, oh no, this was all genuine.
Brick states that she has been ‘…dropped by countless friends who felt threatened’, I’m sorry Sam my love, but if they were real friends they wouldn’t be bothered about your apparent ‘good looks’. They would think more along the lines of personality traits and whether they can happily have a beverage or two in your presence without feeling like they want to drop kick you into next year.
Needless to say this article did indeed spark debate amongst many readers and twitter became the virtual soap box for all those capable of a hash tag, including yours truly. I will be the first to admit that I am obviously a fan of freedom of speech and that those who think themselves as overly stunning are welcome to their feelings. However, I do not support parading yourself around with the aid of a well established news paper, in order to get people to feel sorry for your big headed approach to life. Yes, you are pretty, but you won’t be getting as much as a free bottle of Blue WKD from me.
