Doing something to help…

It is crazy to think that one thing, can affect so many people, and that one thing can destroy all that we hold dear and impact a family beyond all recognition. However, the fight against this one thing can also bring people together and support each other and their families in times of need.
This isn’t something that I would normally talk about, but I have decided that I want to try and do my bit, however small, to raise awareness of something that can affect generations of people around the world, and it has also affected my family and I to a great extent.
Every two minutes someone in the UK is told they have cancer, so next month I am going to complete the Race for Life around Middlesbrough’s beautiful Ormesby Hall. I will be adorning pink and wearing my competitor number with pride and dragging myself around the 5k circuit.
If you have experienced cancer and you feel you want to ‘do your bit’ too, please get involved, walk, jog or run. There are Race For Life events all over the country, and I have decided to support my local event. Just go to the Race For Life Website and register, it doesn’t take long.
I have started raising sponsorship through my fundraising page and I have already had wonderful support, if anyone would like to sponsor me please please do, everything counts, however small.
It is all of us versus cancer.
